Respect

Active bystanders can play a role in reducing the harm of bullying or harassment and ensuring there is no tolerance for these behaviours in the workplace.

Choose Respect
Call out poor behaviour – if you’re comfortable.
Calmly disagree and state that their actions or comments are offensive or unacceptable.

Speak Up!
Listening and offering support to the harassed person can help determine what you do next. This could mean support through the EAP, formally reporting through the company’s grievance process if they agree, or anonymously reporting as a bystander.

It is important to remember that all formal grievances raised are dealt with confidentially within the HR department, however anonymous reporting is more difficult to follow up and investigate without factual information or witnesses to substantiate. Communications will be automatically sent to the respect@imcpl.com.au restricted inbox.
