IMC have been contracted to undertake development of the green fields Kathleen Valley Open Pit Lithium Mine for Liontown Resources, 60km North of Leinster.
The awarded scope is inclusive of initial access, clearing, construction of the mining services area, ROM and TSF along with drill and blast, load and haul and pit dewatering activities.
Over a term of 36 months, 12.8 million BCMs will be mined with a workforce peaking at 180 personnel.
The Mining fleet consists of 1 x 200t digger, 2 x 125t diggers, 17 x 777D dump trucks, 7 x Top Hammer drill rigs, 2 x Down Hole Hammer drill rigs and an extensive ancillary fleet.
IMC commenced mobilisation under a letter of intent in late December 2023 with construction commencing early January concurrently with mining activities in response to a tight client schedule requirement.
