The scope of work at Deflector includes:
- construction of a new 2-cell tailings storage facility including clearing of vegetation
- topsoil stripping
- foundation preparation
- load and haul of embankment fill from waste dumps
- moisture condition place
- compact clay fill materials
- installation of new decant structures and HDPE liner
The project utilises the following equipment: dozers,
excavators, scraper, articulated dump trucks, road-trains,
graders, loaders, rollers and articulated watercarts.
